Smoked almond and apple slaw

Elevate your BBQ or sliders with our Smoked Almond & Apple Slaw: a delightful blend of red cabbage, green apples, smoked almonds, and zesty dressing.

  • ½ small red cabbage, finely shredded
  • 2 green apples, julienned with skin on
  • ½ cup finely sliced celery
  • ½ cup sliced spring onions
  • ¾ cup smoked whole almonds, roughly chopped



  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup blanched almond meal
  • Juice of 1 large lemon
  • Sea salt flakes and cracked black pepper to taste


  1. Place prepared cabbage, apples, celery and spring onions in a large bowl.
  2. Mix together the dressing ingredients then toss through the cabbage mix.
  3. When ready to serve, pile the slaw onto a serving platter and scatter with smoked almonds.
  4. The perfect salad to serve with a bbq or in slider rolls with your favourite pulled meat.
