Australians are being encouraged to prioritise their heart health this National Heart Health Week by making simple changes to reduce their health risks.

Australian Almonds (The Almond Board of Australia) will be at Flinders St station main concourse in Melbourne from 8am to 12pm on Thursday 4th May reminding Aussies of all ages the importance of keeping their hearts healthy, and that there are easy ways they can incorporate healthy heart-friendly habits into their day.

Station visitors will receive complementary samples of Australian Almonds, packaged in a convenient reusable metal tin that holds the recommended 30 grams of almonds per day.

Almonds are rich in healthy monounsatured fats, which help protect the heart, and are packed with protein, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. By eating a handful of almonds every day as part of a balanced diet, Aussies can help to keep their hearts healthy * Australian Almonds are a portable and healthy snack on the go, and can also be used in a wide range of healthy recipes.
