On the Eve of the 2022 INC Congress in Dubai, the Australian almond industry was pleased to welcome around 50 customers and industry partners to a special Industry Update and Networking Event. Situated on the poolside of the Kempinski Hotel, the gathering of Australian almond industry customers and marketers provided a valuable opportunity for personal connection absent over the past two years of Covid-induced travel limitations.
The ABA CEO, Tim Jackson, provided a succinct summary of the Australian industry’s production and marketing outlook for the year ahead. While total production for 2022 is above the previous year, a combination of weather and horticultural factors has combined to lower the quantity of inshell almond product available.
The Australian almond industry has also an exhibition booth as part of the INC Congress. The booth was well attended during the first day of the Congress on Wednesday May 11.
